No one left behind conference
Earlier this month we attended a conference run by the Black Country Talent Match team that looks at tackling youth unemployment with strategic partners. It was an inspiring day and great to see the social impact statistics from ARK Consultancy and hear the video CV’s of young people.
The event took place at the Hawthorns, West Bromwich and addressed the challenge of sustaining employment for young people and understanding the barriers they face. Talent Match Black Country is now entering its third year successful year of programme delivery and so the focus of the conference was how to ensure that no young people are left behind as Talent Match and EU funding comes to an end in 2018.
Some of the speakers included Ian Austin (MP), Mark Easton (BBC Home Editor) and Laura-Jane Rawlings (Youth Employment UK) as well as Matt Poole, Head of Funding at Big Lottery Fund.
